Despite many already calling for the Las Vegas Raiders to start thinking about the future heading into the Week 9 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Pete Carroll and the Raiders appeared determined to squeeze as much as they can out of the 2025 season.

The best example is signing a 33-year-old Tyler Lockett earlier in the week, and having him take snaps over rookie wide receivers Jack Bech and Dont’e Thornton Jr., with the latter being a healthy scratch in favor of the veteran. So, it’s almost fitting that Las Vegas lost on a failed two-point attempt where quarterback Geno Smith was targeting Lockett, who ended the game with zero catches.

Now at 2-6 with a matchup against the AFC West-leading Denver Broncos on a short week coming up, it’s time for the youth movement to begin in Las Vegas. Granted, that depends on how stubborn Carroll wants to be, but fans are calling for it as the internet reacts to another Raiders’ loss.

Is it officially tank season?

Dante Moore, anyone?

Kickers were the difference in this game. If Daniel Carlson makes his first PAT, overtime doesn’t happen. Meanwhile, the Jaguars’ kicker is out there setting NFL records.

Solid point by Ray here. The Raiders have a lack of talent problem, but their tackling is an even bigger issue. They probably missed 20 tackles today.

Would you have run the ball on the two-point attempt? Also, I can’t get over how open Jakobi Meyers was…

Brock Bowers being healthy and catching 12 passes for 127 yards and three touchdowns was one of the few silver linings.

Derek Carr showed some love for Bowers.

The Raiders are now 30-37 in Las Vegas, and this fan made some rounds on social media for his anti-Vegas, pro-Oakland sign.

Classy move by the Raiders, honoring Carol Davis with a helmet sticker on the opposite side of Al’s. The coaches also had pins for George Atkinson.

Who do you blame the most for the loss?
