2023 1st-round pick hasn’t done much so far
This is going to be a big season for Tyree Wilson.
The Las Vegas Raiders’ 2023 first-round pick (No. 7) overall hasn’t lived up to expectations in first two NFL seasons. If the defensive end doesn’t take a big step forward this season, the Raiders will very likely not exercise his fifth-year option, making him a free agent after the 2026 season.
Wilson has been a disappointment for sure and fans have noticed. We recently asked our community members what current Rider has been the biggest disappointment in their eyes.
Here were the options:
The third-year player hasn’t done much since being the No. 7 overall draft pick in 2023. He’s flashed at times, but hasn’t made much of an impact.
He started last season as the No. 1 tailback, but he had a poor year and now is no sure thing to make the 53-man roster.
The third-year tight end was expected to be an instant contributor but he has just 48 career catches.
The 2023 third-year wide receiver has had some decent moments, but he did not produce well as a starter for much as last season.
The Raiders drafted Parham in 2022 to be an anchor of the offensive line and he really hasn’t turn out that way and he’s not a certain starter for the upcoming season.
The safety hasn’t established himself as anything other than special teamer and he could easily not make the roster in September.
In a poll with more than 850 votes cast, Wilson was the runaway winner in a poll no one would want to lead. He received 67 percent of the vote, while White received 22 percent. The other 11 percent of the votes were split between the four other options.
