Las Vegas could add at key defensive spot

The Las Vegas Raiders have many needs going into this offseason.

So, after getting a quarterback, they have many needs. one of those position is at defensive tackle, especially if they don’t re-sign Adam Butler and/or John Jenkins in free agency.

So, it could be an area the Raiders look to improve at early in the draft. That could be a good thing because it’s considered a strong draft class at defensive tackle. The position is expected to be top heavy.

The Raiders have the No. 6 overall pick. If they don’t take a quarterback, they could look at wide receiver or cornerback. But if Michigan defensive tackle (new Raiders’ general manager John Spytek and part owner Tom Brady are Michigan men) Mason Graham is available, he could difficult pass up. Adding Graham to a defensive line with fellow tackle Christian Wilkins and end Maxx Crosby would be a great way to boost the defense.

Another Michigan defensive tackle, Kenneth Grant, is considered the second best player at the position and he could be an option in a trade-down situation.

If Ohio State’s Tyleik Williams was available in the second round (he’d have to drop), he could be someone the Raiders look at as well. Other top prospects at defensive tackle include T.J. Sanders of South Carolina and Walter Nolen of Mississippi, who the Raiders kept close track of last season.

They both could solid second-round options if the Raiders want to go that way.
