Raiders may have made a big decision
Recently, former Las Vegas Raiders general manager Tom Telesco explained on a podcast that the team might have drafted Oregon quarterback Bo Nix if he were available with the No. 13 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft.
Nix, though, of course, was drafted by the Raiders’ AFC West rival, the Denver Broncos exactly one pick ahead of the Raiders’ choice at No. 12. Nix was a fast success for the Broncos and was a good fit for Denver coach Sean Payton’s offense and looks to have a great future ahead of him.
The Raiders, of course, did just fine as they took the falling Brock Bowers at No. 13. The Georgia product set all kinds of tight end records, shattering the the rookie records as he had 112 catches for 1,194 yards and had five touchdown catches. He was voted a first-team All-Pro and was second in the Offensive Rookie of the Year voting.
He has potential to be an all-time great at the tight end position.
Still, considering Nix’s future potential, the importance of the quarterback position and the Raiders’ uncertain long-term future at the position, would you rather have Nix than Bowers or are you good with how things played out?
