The Las Vegas Raiders have hired Pete Carroll as their new head coach. He is building his new staff. He has reportedly hired his son, Brennan Carroll, as the offensive line coach and run game coordinator.
Let’s get to know Brennan Carroll better:
Last job:
He was the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at Washington in 2024 as he worked for the Huskies for one season.
Age:
He will turn 46 in March.
Experience with father’s staffs:
Brennan Carroll worked for his father at USC and with the Seattle Seahawks. Brennan Carroll was with the Trojans from 2002-09. He was the tight ends coach from 2004-09. Brennan Carroll went to Seattle with his father in 2010 as an offensive assistant. He also worked through from 2015-20. He was the the assistant offensive line coach the first five seasons and then was the run-game coordinator in Seattle in 2020.
Coaching experience:
Brennan Carroll has no other NFL experience other than his time on his father’s staff. He went back to the college ranks in 2021 as the offensive coordinator and run-game coordinator at Arizona from 2023 before heading to Washington with head coach Jedd Fisch.
Why the Raiders would hire him:
Clearly, Carroll thinks his son is up for this role.
