As expected, the Las Vegas Raiders’ offense a boost Monday when superstar tight end Brock Bowers was among the team’s active players for their home game against the Los Angeles Chargers at Allegiant Stadium.
Bowers was listed as questionable to play for the 1-0 Raiders against the 1-0 Chargers as he was dealing with a knee injury he suffered in the fourth quarter of a 20-13 victory at the New England Patriots on Sunday. Despite being listed as questionable to play on the injury report, Bowers began to trend toward playing Saturday when he practiced for the first time during the week. Raiders coach Pete Carroll said Saturday that Bowers “looked terrific” in practice.
Starting guard Jackson Powers-Johnson is out with a concussion that he apparently suffered at practice Thursday. He was ruled out later Saturday on the injury report.
Here are the Raiders’ other inactive players Monday night:
Mostert is inactive for the second straight game as Zamir White and Dylan Laube backup starting running back Ashton Jeanty. With Powers-J0hnson out, third-round pick Caleb Rogers is active. Tonka Hemingway is inactive after playing last week.
Edge rusher Brennan Jackson is active this week, replacing Charles Snowden. Defensive abck Tristian McCollum and defensive tackle Leki Fotu are also making their Raiders’ debuts Monday night.
The Raiders elevated wide receiver Alex Bachman from the practice squad for Monday’s game.
