2:35 p.m.: Greg Olson is back on the Raiders’ coaching as the team’s quarterback coach.
February 1
8:09 p.m.: Rob Leonard is staying on as the defensive line coach and getting a small promotion as the run-game coordinator. He’s been with the Raiders since 2023 and has developed several defensive linemen under his watch.
3:07 p.m.: Jerrod Johnson interviewed for the offensive coordinator job. Johnson spent last season as the Texans’ quarterback coach and spent some time with the Seahawks in 2013 when Pete Carroll was the head coach in Seattle.
January 31
3:34 p.m.: Pete Carroll was interested in hiring Sanjay Lal as his wide receivers coach (they worked in Seattle together), but the Chargers, and coach and Carroll rival Jim Harbaugh, blocked them.
9:08 a.m.: Pete Carroll has brought his right-hand man from Seattle, Matt Capurro, to Las Vegas.
January 30
4:44 p.m.: The Raiders are hiring Johnn Glenn as their linebackers coach, according to NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero. Glenn was an assistant coach in Seattle from 2012 to 2023, serving in several roles, including coaching linebackers. He was an assistant special teams coach for the Washington Commanders this past season.
January 28
4:14 p.m.: As expected, the Raiders have interviewed Darrell Bevell for their offensive coordinator position. Bevell is an assistant with Miami. Bevell was Pete Carroll’s offensive coordinator in Seattle from 2011-17.
January 27
12:21 p.m.: The Athletic is reporting the Raiders are interviewing defensive line coach Rob Leonard for the defensive coordinator job.
6:55 a.m.: The Raiders have asked Seattle permission to talk to Karl Scott about the defensive coordinator job.
January 25
7:45 a.m.: A name to watch for the defensive coordinator job is Seattle’s Karl Scott, who has history with new Raiders’ head coach Pete Carroll.
January 23
9:37 p.m.: Any concerns about John Spytek have been alleviated. He’s officially signed his contract and will be part of the head coach search, per NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero.
7:54 p.m.: Another head coach vacancy filled and coach off the market, Liam Coen is reportedly taking the Jaguars’ job. Jacksonville fired general manager Trent Baalke earlier this week and John Spytek to the Raiders hasn’t become official just yet, creating some uneasiness. However, Spytek’s connection to Tom Brady is stronger than his connection to Coen.
3:16 p.m.: Meanwhile, Liam Coen may be back on track in Jacksonville.
2:19 p.m.: Josina Anderson is reporting the Raiders are showing interest in both Pete Carroll and Steve Spagnuolo. Both have interviewed.
