The Las Vegas Raiders fired their head coach, Pete Carroll, on Monday, hoping to start a new direction. The 2-15 season was disappointing to say the least, with the team having at least mediocre expectations. However, it turned out to be a disaster, with the only reward being the number one pick in the draft.
It would seem the Raiders would look to the quarterback position to guide their future. The easy pick right now is Fernando Mendoza, but things could change in the next three months.
In this week’s SB Nation Reacts, we ask Raider Nation what their confidence is in the team’s direction. Raider Nation responded with excitement having their highest confidence since Week 1 of the 2025 season. It rose all the way to 56% of Raiders fans believing in the team’s direction after securing the number one pick.
It is expected for the Raiders to be taking a quarterback at the number one pick, especially after the performance yesterday by Fernando Mendoza. That will add even more excitement to the fanbase.
