The latest Bears Banter Podcast has dropped!
After the Bears got annihilated by the Detroit Lions on Sunday, there were plenty of fans and media members who were looking to point fingers. But when the entire roster seemingly fails to live up to standards, it might be time to look at the man who put it all together.
To discuss the issues facing this team, 670 The Score’s Leila Rahimi joined the show to talk about what went wrong against Detroit and why she has serious concerns about Ryan Poles moving forward.
Rahimi continues to struggle with why the Bears chose to extend Poles now, instead of waiting one more season.
“There was a huge pushback against anyone who suggested that Ryan Poles didn’t deserve an extension. They just needed to wait, to wait until it made sense for that to happen,” Rahimi explained. “And I agree with the NFL thought process that you should align coach, GM, and quarterback, but that’s not what happened here… What if you realize in midseason that he didn’t get you the players you wanted… Ryan Poles is not Brad Holmes, period.”
