If you placed a bet on the Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles facing off in the NFC Championship game heading into the 2024 NFL season, you likely would have won a lot of money.
These teams were not expected to be in this position, especially the Commanders, who were one of the best teams in the NFL in 2023.
Jayden Daniels has turned this team around similarly to what C.J. Stroud has done with the Houston Texans over the past two seasons.
Daniels is a dual-threat QB who isn’t afraid to take off on the run, and he’s coming off a game where he dominated the Detroit Lions, who were one of the best teams in the league during the regular season.
Despite Daniels’ dominance and the Commanders’ confidence heading into this matchup, Eagles fans don’t seem worried.
Take Hunter Brody, a radio host, for example.
Brody broke down why he believes the Eagles will take down the Commanders this weekend, boiling it down to one statistical category.
“The Commanders do not have the talent or personnel to stop our overpowering run game. It’s that simple. They suck, and I mean suck, at stopping the run,” Brody said.
#Eagles radio host is CONFIDENT in his team defeating the #Commanders this Sunday due to their run game:
“The Eagles won’t lose this game. The Eagles will not lose in the NFC championship game…”

To Brody, the Commanders’ inability to stop the run will be their downfall, considering the Eagles have Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley as their top two rushing options.
Barkley led the league in rushing this year, and Hurts is one of the best mobile quarterbacks in the NFL.
Only time will tell how this matchup plays out, but many Eagles fans seem to share Brody’s sentiment, which could make for a lopsided matchup if his prediction is correct.
