An old quote from Patrick Mahomes in which he admits he should have perhaps done a better job, or at least a more timely one, in his relationship with his wife, Brittany, has resurfaced online this NFL offseason.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback is obviously a very busy man, as the hopes and dreams of an entire fan base lie squarely on his shoulders. But he spends as much time as he can with his family during the offseason, with this one extra special as they welcomed a third baby earlier this year.
Mahomes appeared on Logan Paul’s ‘Impaulsive’ podcast last April, where he admitted his one regret about marrying Brittany: not doing it sooner.
“How did I find the one? I met her in high school, dude,” he said. “So, she dealt with me in high school and college – those years where I’m just a young kid. She made me better and I knew that was going ‘the one’ for a long time. And I probably made her wait too long to get married.”
“But we got married, have two beautiful kids now, and she’s the one who runs the household. And I’m not afraid to admit it,” he added.
As noted above, they’ve since welcomed another kid.

Patrick Mahomes started dating Brittany in the 10th grade. He proposed to her on her 25th birthday at Arrowhead Stadium in September 2020 and married her in Maui, Hawaii, in March 2022.
The quarterback would also credit his wife with his success on the field, noting that she takes care of day-to-day tasks, which allows him to focus on football.
“Taking care of the day-to-day stuff and making it so where I can focus on football, focus on my craft and everything like that,” he remarked. “Just being a hall-of-fame mom and a hall-of-fame wife.”
