Texans step to the plate, but better bring a bat
Saturday, December 21st at noon CST your Houston Texans take on the Kansas City Chiefs for the 13th meeting between the franchises. The Chiefs currently lead the series, going 7-5 against Houston, including wins in 3 of the past 4 meetings. Their last regular season matchup happened on 12/18/2022, with KC winning in overtime, 30-24.
Let’s not talk about the last postseason meeting.
This year feels different, this Texans team IS different. From a legit head coach, to star players all over the roster. When this team clicks, they’re unstoppable. Unfortunately, those click-moments seem few and far between of late. While they shut down the Miami Dolphins last weekend with some defensive fireworks from AFC Defensive Player of the Week Derek Stingley Jr., the Chiefs are far superior to the Dolphins.
But, if the Texans want to be taken seriously, this game is their opportunity to make that happen. Having defeated the Buffalo Bills earlier this year, notching a win against the Chiefs would give the H-Town crowd something to crow about for sure.
