The New England Patriots entered the weekend with four players listed as questionable on their final practice report. Among them was starting defensive tackle Milton Williams, who had been nursing an ankle injury during the week.

However, the expectation is that Williams will be ready for Sunday’s primetime matchup with the Buffalo Bills. According to a report by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the 26-year-old “should be good to go.”

Williams first popped up on the injury report on Wednesday as a limited participant. The following day, he was a no-show on the fields behind Gillette Stadium before returning on Friday at less than 100 percent again.

He ultimately was labeled questionable together with three other defenders, linebackers K’Lavon Chaisson (knee) and Jahlani Tavai (calf) as well as cornerback Carlton Davis (illness). While Chaisson did eventually not make the trip to Buffalo, Williams is trending in a positive direction. Like Tavai and Davis, he too should be able to suit up for the Patriots’ Week 5 contest.

Having Williams available is good news for the Patriots. The $104 million man, who joined the club on a four-year free agency contract in March, has been a steady presence along the interior defensive line through four games. He and fellow DT Christian Barmore are quickly becoming one of the best pairings in the NFL, and will play a prominent role against the Bills’ high-powered offense as well.

Kickoff between the two AFC East rivals at Highmark Stadium is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET. Inactives will be released 90 minutes before.
