Over the last few years, Jalen Hurts has overcome plenty of doubts to become considered one of the NFL’s premier quarterbacks.
He will have a shot at winning his first Vince Lombardi Trophy when his Philadelphia Eagles face off against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday in Super Bowl LIX, which will be a rematch of the Super Bowl from two years ago.
Jalen Milroe from the University of Alabama isn’t one of the most talked-about quarterbacks heading into April’s draft, but he is an intriguing prospect who has a chance to be a franchise cornerstone for years to come.
As a dual-threat quarterback, he sees himself having the same trajectory as Hurts, who also played his college ball at Alabama, per Mad Dog Sports Radio.
“I’m seeing my life the same way he saw his,” Milroe said.

Hurts is something of an underdog story when one considers how his time with the Crimson Tide went.
While he started under center as a freshman, the team lost in the College Football Playoff National Championship game that year to Clemson University.
The following year, the Crimson Tide returned to the national championship game, but after a poor first half, Hurts was benched in favor of Tua Tagovailoa, who was then a freshman.
Milroe also lost a big game when Alabama fell to the University of Michigan in the 2024 Rose Bowl, and thus some may feel he, too, has something to prove.
Still, he threw for a solid 2,844 yards and 16 touchdowns while adding 726 yards and 20 touchdowns on the ground this season.
While Milroe likely won’t be one of the first players taken in the draft, he is widely expected to go in the first round, something Hurts didn’t do in the 2020 draft.
