The Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Falcons are not getting along very well.
Atlanta will play its second preseason game against Tennessee on Friday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. It seems both teams couldn’t wait until that day fr things to get crazy on the field.
A second joint practice between the Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Falcons on Aug. 13 in Flowery Branch, Georgia, meant tensions would be high.
A major scuffle between the two teams began with a quarterback getting touched.
Quarterback Michael Penix Jr., wearing a red jersey that signifies that he should never be touched, was taken down by a Tennessee player. That is a huge no-no in practice.
It caused a massive fight and a lot of yelling.
Tennessee’s No. 1 defense and Atlanta’s No. 1 offense went at it as it was reported that defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons and defensive back Julius Wood were among the players whose helmets were ripped off, while Falcons star receiver Drake London also had his helmet removed and was yelling at Titans players.

Titans defensive back Jarvis Brownlee had to be helped to get away following the brawl.

Full on fight just broke out Titans D vs Falcons O. Simmons' helmet got ripped off in the scrum. Julius Wood's too. Lotsa yelling. Brownlee escorted away from the pile by his teammates.

The Tennessee Titans’ last winning season was in 2021, when they finished with a record of 12-5. They won the AFC South division but were eliminated in the Divisional round of the playoffs.
The Atlanta Falcons last had a winning season in 2017, when they finished with a record of 10-6.
Both teams have quarterbacks in place who give them hope of trying to turn their misfortunes around.
