The Raiders have to be excited for 3rd year receiver Tre Tucker who’s consistently built year after year to develop into seemingly a high quality receiver for a Raiders offense that desperately needed a downfield playmaker. The 24 year old came into Sunday’s matchup vs the Titans with 24 receptions, 356 yards, and four touchdowns before adding another 5 receptions and 70 yards this week. Tucker is on pace to log 1207 yards and 11 touchdowns on 81 receptions this season. All three marks would be a career high for Tucker who in his first two seasons posted just over 900 career yards.

The 5’8/185 Tucker has also excelled at limiting his drops, as a rookie, Tucker logged 3 drops with another 2 in 2024 and in 2025 he’s failed to drop a pass yet. In his first two seasons, Tucker saw his Yards/Route Run at just 1.21 compared to his 1.71 in 2025 which is top 25 among NFL receivers. The biggest point where Tucker has improved involves his separation ability. Despite his 4.42 40, Tucker struggled at times in his first two seasons to create separation finishing just 57th in 2023 and 68th in 2024. This season, Tucker has averaged 2.61 yards of separation/route placing him 3rd in the entire NFL behind Rams superstar Puka Nacua and Lions superstar Amon-Ra St. Brown. Tucker has paired his speed with an elite blend of route running and mental awareness, Tucker has consistently flashed developed and refined route running which he’s able to utilize in part with his quick first step and explosion out of breaks giving him a good pairing of speed and technique to get open. Tucker’s 7.12 average cushion is ranking 5th among all NFL receivers as well, indicating defenses’s respect for his ability to get open in the intermediate range.

The Market:

Tucker will be eligible for an extension after this season as he’ll have completed his three years minimum. Extending Tucker will be an interesting option for the Raiders, Tucker is on pace to post over 1000 yards and cement himself as likely a top 30 receiver overall. Tucker’s success hasn’t been “luck” by any means, he’s competed for targets and showed the ability to be the Raiders top target over rookies Jack Bech and Dont’e Thornton (both brought in by this regime) along with Jakobi Meyers. Consistently, the Raiders see Tucker getting open downfield and in space for big play opportunities, but due to offensive line and quarterback struggles the Raiders don’t see many of the big plays Tucker is capable of being succeeded or even attempted.

In 2026, Tucker will be going into his final year of a rookie contract, and an extension would be beneficial for both sides. As for the Raiders, they lock up a key member of their offense, who even if regression hits, will still remain a top target in deep threat opportunities and will consistently post 700+ yards a season. Additionally, Tucker is a young player who has...
