If the Titans ever try to trade Jeffery Simmons, it’s no stretch to think the Pro Bowl defender would like to land with the Patriots.

Simmons seemingly has paid close attention to New England’s offseason, and clearly likes the recent coaching hires at One Patriot Place.

Simmons hinted that with a social media “like” linking him to the Patriots a few weeks ago and followed it up Wednesday with a congratulatory message for his former defensive line coach, Terrell Williams. Williams on Wednesday was named the defensive coordinator of Mike Vrabel’s Patriots.

“Wow! So happy for Big T man! You deserve it Coach! Congrats to you and your family!” Simmons posted to X on Wednesday morning.

Williams, who served as the Titans defensive line coach for six seasons, coached Simmons in five of those campaigns. Williams was promoted to assistant head coach in 2023 before he was let go with Vrabel.

Simmons previously lauded Williams for his coaching style and ability to connect with players.

“Trust me, guys love Coach T,” Simmons told the Detroit Free Press last year.

Williams arrives in New England after coaching the Lions defensive line in 2024.
