Pro Bowl Call Coming for Steelers Rookie Zach Frazier?
Steelers Now Steelers Now

Pittsburgh Steelers rookie center Zach Frazier could be in line for a call-up to the 2025 NFL Pro Bowl Games roster.

There are two centers on the AFC roster for the 2025 Pro Bowl Games, which will be held next Sunday at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, but Kansas City Chiefs center Creed Humphrey will not be able to participate thanks to Kansas City’s win in the AFC Championship Game.

With Humphrey out of the mix, an alternate will need to be named to the team alongside Baltimore Ravens center Tyler Linderbaum, who was already named to the squad.

Frazier, the Steelers’ second-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, could be that player. He gave up just one sack and 12 pressures while starting 15 games for the Steelers this season, per Pro Football Focus. His 98.8 pass protection efficiency was second only to Humphrey among centers with at least 1,000 snaps this season.

The Steelers have a long history of being represented by centers in the Pro Bowl. Make Webster was voted to nine Pro Bowls from 1978-87, Dermontti Dawson was honored six times between 1992 and 1998, and Maurkice Pouncey was a nine-time Pro Bowler, from 2010 to 2020. Pouncey was voted in during his rookie season and ended up being honored in every year of his career that he played a full season.

If Frazier does get the Pro Bowl call, he’ll join four of his Steelers teammate on the Pro Bowl squad in Orlando. Defensive tackle Cam Heyward, safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and kicker Chris Boswell were voted into the initial roster, while special teamer Miles Killebrew was an injury replacement. T.J. Watt was voted onto the team, but pulled out due to injury.

The 2025 Pro Bowl Games will begin on Thursday night at 7 p.m. with a skills competition, and then the selected participants will play flag football at Camping World Stadium in Orlando on Sunday at 3 p.m.
