It’s the postseason, and the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers will face off Saturday night at Lumen Field with a trip to the NFC Championship Game on the line.
The two teams split the pair of contests they played during the regular season, with the road team winning each matchup, but Seahawks fans are guaranteed to have Lumen rocking for the divisional round tilt that will likely be the most intense environment the majority of the players on the field have ever experienced.
Interestingly, for the third straight time the Seahawks are set to face a division opponent in the postseason, after Seattle hosted the Los Angeles Rams in 2020 before going on the road to take on Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers in 2022. Of course, Hawks fans are hoping for a different result in this game in than in the last two postseason contests, and to preview the matchup, Field Gulls own Deputy Editor John P. Gilbert joined KMA Sports of Shenandoah, Iowa to talk about the game.
