Tee Higgins will be one the most sought-after wide receivers on the market if he enters free agency. His Cincinnati Bengals teammates Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase hope he’ll stay with the team that has other stars it needs to pay.
There will be a lot of speculation thrown around, and it seemed like Higgins tried to get ahead of it Tuesday.
“Ima let yall know first,” Higgins posted on X.
The 26-year-old isn’t very active on social media, so it’s unclear what Higgins was referring to. NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport had some fun with the post when he replied, “Me?”
One could surmise that Higgins was telling fans that they’ll learn about his next team straight from him and not from NFL insiders like Rapoport. It remains to be seen how true that will be, but teams like the Patriots will be ready to pounce if the Bengals fail to retain Higgins.
