The Patriots are expected to draft Will Campbell with the fourth overall pick, and there will be a persistent narrative clouding the offensive tackle.

Multiple draft experts ranked Campbell as their top tackle in the 2025 NFL Draft class. However, pundits are worried about his arm length, which came out shorter in tests (32 5/8) than the average offensive lineman. The history of players of the 21-year-old’s build often aren’t successful in the NFL.

Head coach Mike Vrabel wasn’t sounding the alarm on Campbell, and the LSU product hasn’t been afraid to go after his critics. However, he hasn’t lost his sense of humor.

“I’d take Shemar Stewart’s arm length, Campbell told a reporter when asked if what attribute he would steal from a current player, per The Boston Globe’s Ben Volin. “Because apparently to everybody I have T-Rex arms.”

Stewart is another prospect in this year’s draft, and the Texas A&M product’s arm length measured at 34 1/8. That might be more ideal for Patriots fans, but if Campbell is drafted by New England on Thursday night, he’ll have to prove his worth on the field.
