As you’re no doubt well aware by now, the New York Giants have made the decision to name rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart the teams’ starter against the Los Angeles Chargers.
It was a move that was going to happen sooner or later, but it’s still a seismic shift as the Giants have stepped into what they hope to be the next era of their storied franchise. It may also represent a significant shift in the landscape of the NFCE East if Dart can find success early in his career.
The reaction is pouring in.
BetMGM elected to go with some classic New York humor.
We don’t know for sure, and the Giants are unlikely to say, but this is probably earlier than the team would have preferred for Dart to take the starting job. The prevailing theory is that Brian Daboll made the change to buy himself time to save his job. On the other hand, it’s also possible that Dart has been impressing behind the scenes and the move was coming soon, anyway.
So we want to know, do you think this was the right move?
Did the Giants make the right move by deciding to start Jaxson Dart in Week 4?
