In the preseason, Alexander played just six snaps against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 1 and allowed a 41-yard reception.
He was an undrafted free agent in the 2025 NFL Draft out of Oregon and joined the Seahawks in late July. He also participated in rookie minicamps with Seattle and the Atlanta Falcons but did not receive a contract.
After transferring to Oregon in 2024, Alexander appeared in 12 games, recording four tackles and one interception. Prior to Oregon, he played at UTSA, where he earned first All-AAC honors with two interceptions, 15 passes defensed, 34 tackles and one sack in 2023, as well as Sam Houston State.
Alexander was also named defensive MVP of the Frisco Bowl following his team’s win over Marshall.

A native of Manvel, Texas, Alexander measured at 5-foot-11, 183 pounds at his pro day and recorded a 4.48-second 40-yard dash, 41.5-inch vertical jump and 11-foot-1 broad jump.
Alexander joins a crowded cornerback room in Pittsburgh, which already includes Joey Porter Jr., Darius Slay, Jalen Ramsey, Brandin Echols, Cory Trice Jr., James Pierre and Beanie Bishop Jr.
However, he was likely brought in to allow the Steelers to rest several of their starters on Thursday. It will be a great opportunity for him to put on some better tape for the rest of the NFL to see.
