Pittsburgh Steelers look to take down Los Angeles Chargers in Week 10
Buffalo Rumblings Buffalo Rumblings

It’s going to be a long week for Buffalo Bills fans. Buffalo dropped one of the games they could ill-afford to lose, letting the upset-minded Miami Dolphins embarrass them in Week 10. It’s only been a few hours, but Bills Mafia may be ready to wash the salty air out of their mouths. There’s plenty to question and lots to discuss about the Bills’ immediate future, but for tonight it’s time to cheer on…

The Pittsburgh Steelers.

You may dislike that idea, but it’s the move this evening. Right now, the Bills need all the help they can get. So why Pittsburgh? As we learned in Rachel Auberger’s Week 10 Bills rooting interests guide, it’s that:

“The Steelers lead the AFC North, but their record is a full game behind the Bills, so no harm with rooting for them. The Chargers, however, are only a half game behind, so creating some more distance between Buffalo and all the other contenders is the play here. Plus, the Chiefs are on bye, so losses by both the Broncos and the Chargers aren’t going to be what moves them back up.”

Honestly, it won’t matter much what teams win and lose to help Buffalo’s situation if One Bills Drive doesn’t get their heads out of the sand this week. They’re losing the wrong games, and face a nearly impossible goal of winning the AFC East simply because their divisional record is so subpar compared to the New England Patriots.

But, that’s where things are at the moment. Anything can happen, and quarterback Josh Allen is just the guy to do anything, including the impossible. Can the Steelers take down the Los Angeles Chargers this evening? Keep your fingers crossed.

With that, here’s your open thread for Week 10 of Sunday Night Football. As always, be kind to one another — and in all things… Go Bills! (No, don’t feel an obligation to vocalize your Steelers cheer.)
