The 34-year-old is a former first-round pick of the Vikings back in 2013. After playing out his rookie contract with the team, he would sign with the Raiders in 2017.

Patterson would then get traded to the Patriots and play out the final year of his two-year, $8.5 million contract. From there, he agreed to a two-year, $10 million contract with the Bears in 2019.

His talents would land him a one-year deal with the Atlanta Falcons in 2021 and then another two years.

Last offseason, Patterson signed a two-year, $6 million contract with the Steelers.

Does Cordarrelle Patterson Still Have Something Left In The Tank?

You can never have too many veterans on a team.

Cordarrelle Patterson might be down, but certainly not out.

The Pittsburgh Steelers released him this week. This officially ends a one-year experiment on Patterson, who was signed to a two-year contract ahead of the 2024 season.

It’s an unsurprising move given Patterson’s 2024 struggles and the Steelers’ offseason additions of Kenneth Gainwell and Kaleb Johnson.

Patterson might still have something in the tank.

It was back in 2022 when he had 144 carries for 695 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns, along with 21 receptions for 122 receiving yards.
