Pittsburgh Steelers at Chicago Bears: 3 Props to Play
Windy City Gridiron Windy City Gridiron

This week’s prop article is delayed thanks to Aaron Rodgers. It’s bad enough that he’s tortured me as a Chicago Bears fan for the last 15 years; now, he’s postponing my articles because I was hoping to have some level of information to make the best-informed suggestions for prop plays. And as it turns out, that wait got me little information to utilize on Rodgers.

Last week we had another unfortunate 1-2 record, but we soldiered forward. Our record on the season sits at 18-11 on the season, which still puts us up 4 and a half units on the season, but not quite at the profitable clip we were on earlier in the season.

But there are some injuries and other aspects of this game that do provide some insight into some of the ways we can play this game. So without further ado, here are 3 props to play in the Bears- Steelers game.

Jaylen Warren OVER 60.5 Rushing Yards -114

Warren has gone over this number in 4 of his last 5 games, and while I ordinarily have a little confidence in the Chicago Bears’ run defense, I really question how well they can stop the run with all three of their starting linebackers out of the game. I feel like the Steelers are going to attack the middle of the field, both running the ball and passing the ball, and take advantage of the lack of experience there. Whether the Steelers are playing their QB2 or their compromised QB1, I think they focus on establishing the run and getting Warren involved.

Darnell Washington OVER 21.5 Receiving Yards -114

The argument here is similar to the Warren argument. Who is covering Darnell Washington? I don’t even think Ruben Hyppolite can match up with him physically, let alone someone in the secondary. This responsibility would have fallen to Tremaine Edmunds, and he has much more of the size needed to cover Washington’s massive body. 21.5 is pretty low, so this could be had in 2 or possibly even 1 reception. Washington seems like a smart play with the Bears’ compromised linebacking group.

Caleb Williams OVER 219.5 Passing Yards -114

This is the most popular prop we give out, but how can we not give it out today? He’s actually gone over this number in three of the last four games, and the Pittsburgh Steelers give up the most passing yards per game in the entire NFL. Ben Johnson and Williams feel like they are close to having a couple of things figured out that will take this offense another step forward. The accuracy has been improved over the last couple of weeks, and if a couple of other timing aspects (and team discipline) can get cleaned up, this offense should be able to gain some yards through the air. Starting to take that next step forward against a soft pass defense certainly seems like a strong possibility. As a bonus, unofficially, we will also suggest...
