The Pittsburgh Steelers have begun making cuts to their roster from the 91 players they carried throughout the offseason, training camp and the preseason down to the NFL-mandated 53-man maximum ahead of Tuesday’s 4 p.m. (Aug. 26) deadline.
On Friday, the team announced the release of 11 players, putting its roster at 80.
