The Washington Commanders are back in Ashburn for the sixteenth day of training camp practices. The Washington Commanders are holding a light “jog thru” practice in the bubble this afternoon. The team had off yesterday, they are preparing to host the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football for their second preseason game.

Head coach Dan Quinn spoke to the media before practice and said the team’s joint practice with the Baltimore Ravens that was scheduled for a week from today was cancelled due to scheduling issues. That limits snaps the starters can take against another team before the regular season opener against the New York Giants. Several veterans including Laremy Tunsil and Zach Ertz weren’t at practice.

Jacory “Bill” Croskey-Merritt was at practice wearing a non-contact jersey. He went into the blue medical tent during the preseason opener against the Patriots, and is reportedly dealing with some level of shoulder injury. He was doing pass and catch drills at today’s practice, but his availability for the game against the Bengals isn’t confirmed.

Marcus Mariota has been out of practice with a lower leg injury, but was on the field after practice throwing the football along with Jayden Daniels and Josh Johnson. Mariota is unlikely to play in the preseason, and there haven’t been any updates on the injury. Sam Hartman and Josh Johnson have been battling for the QB3 spot either on the 53-man roster or the practice squad.
