The whittling down begins
We’ve settled on a single play from each game to represent or “illustrate” that part of the Buffalo Bills’ 2024 season. Now it’s time to pit those plays against each other in a ruthless contest to decide which play stands above them all to be crowned the Play That Defines the 2024 Season.
Which moment will join the hall of awesome started with Josh Allen Jumping Over Things?

Our first contest pits two sides of the same coin. Against both the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars the Bills dominated. After allowing the Titans to go up 10-0 to start the second quarter, the defense turned the corner and shut everything else down.
Facing the Jaguars, Buffalo took off early and never looked back. This game gave us our first taste of Keon Coleman in the end zone. The question is, which play better represents the totality of the season?

Against the Arizona Cardinals, the game came down to the wire with a second chance at a Hail Murray making Bills fans hold their breath. Allen’s touchdown is reflective of how narrow the game was and also shows a moment of triumph like the game turned out to be. Josh Allen willing his way in is not a bad illustration of the season either.
The Tyrell Shavers touchdown against the New York Jets perfectly illustrates the rout this game was, putting Buffalo up 40-0 before two garbage touchdowns made it seem less “rout-y.” From a season standpoint, this is a good way to show the gap between Buffalo and the AFC East. Don’t forget how early the Bills locked up the division last season.
