Fox Sports might have a new score bug debut for Super Bowl 59 between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday.
As they did for the Eagles-Chiefs Super Bowl game two years ago, Fox Sports will broadcast the rematch at the Caesars Superdome this Sunday. Kevin Burkhardt will be on the call with $375 million analyst Tom Brady and sideline reporter Erin Andrews.
On X/Twitter, a photo of what appears to be Fox’s new score bug has leaked ahead of Super Bowl 59. Here’s a comparison of the one they used for Super Bowl 57 with the rumored newbie:
Thoughts on this new score bug?

The graphic at the bottom looks somewhat similar to the one used by CBS Sports for NFL games. Have a look below:

Fox Sports also aired Super Bowl 54 between the Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers in Miami five years ago. Patrick Mahomes’ Chiefs are 2-0 in big games aired by Fox, so we’ll see if the network proves to be the lucky charm again in Super Bowl 59.
With a victory over Philadelphia, the Chiefs would complete the first-ever Super Bowl three-peat and cement themselves as perhaps the greatest dynasty in NFL history. The New England Patriots won six over an 18-year span, but never did they win three in a row or four in six.
As historically great as the Chiefs have been, this is likely the only chance they’ll ever have at a three-peat. And with Travis Kelce (35), Chris Jones (31 next season) and Joe Thuney (32) getting up there in age, there’s no guarantee that they’ll have this many chances at a Super Bowl again.
The Eagles are in the big dance for the second time in three years, but Saquon Barkley isn’t young for a running back at 28. Brandon Graham, Darius Slay and Lane Johnson are also nearing the end of their careers, so this might be Philly’s best opportunity to win a Super Bowl with this core.
