Crossing Broad
I went down to the home opener for a temperature check on the Torpedo Bats, Tush Push ban, new bullpens, and the Phils in general. The crowd did not disappoint. You can say a lot of things about Philly fans, but the one thing you can’t say is they’re not honest. WARNING: There’s a heavy dose of hoagie mouth in this one so if you’re turned on by that sort of thing grab a towel before you hit play:
I love the Torpedo Bats, hate the (attempted) Tush Push ban, and despise the new bullpen setup. We’ll see how it all unfolds as teams start to adopt the Torpedoes and the Tush Push ban has been tabled until May. The competition committee should listen to some of these solid points made here by fans.

If you hate the Torpedo Bats you’d probably hate the Tush Push. Don’t be mad we exploited a rule. They hate us, cause they ain’t us.
You might not gather this by the video you saw above, but the energy wasn’t like the last couple of years. Don’t get me wrong, people were enjoying themselves and getting after it, but it felt like they’ll be waiting for the other shoe to drop the entire season.
The Phillies find themselves in the same boat the Sixers did from 2020-2024. We’ll believe it when we see it in the playoffs. That first losing streak they go on this summer is going to produce A LOT of takes. Can’t wait! NL East champs here we come! The Braves absolutely SUCK:
