Philip Rivers is looking his age. Nobody is surprised.

On one play in the second quarter against the Seattle Seahawks, he certainly looked like a 44-year-old quarterback.

The Indianapolis Colts are trying to save their season, so they enlisted the help of Rivers and signed him last week.

Starting quarterback Daniel Jones suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in Week 14. His backup, Riley Leonard, injured his knee in the loss against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The 44-year-old signal-caller took his first snaps in the NFL since he did so with the Colts in 2020. In the second quarterback, the years away from the game looked evident.

Philip Rivers fell to the ground trying to avoid a sack. He then ran and jumped to the ground soon afterward.

Rivers’ high school team at St. Michael Catholic in Alabama is watching his comeback. The team won its first regional game under Rivers, went 12–2 last year, and then 13–1 in its latest campaign.

He is expected to be right back at his job after this season.
