The Philadelphia Eagles have won their second Super Bowl championship in eight seasons, and the celebration is ongoing.

The city of Philadelphia will hold a parade, and the streets are sure to be jam-packed with fans from all across the region coming to honor their heroes.

The city reportedly is also making a unique move to ensure more young fans can attend.

“Philadelphia is closing all public schools on Friday so the city’s kids can attend the Eagles Super Bowl parade,” Dov Kleiman wrote on X.

During the offseason, the Eagles made the move that set all this up by signing star running back Saquon Barkley as a free agent after the New York Giants, his previous team, didn’t give him a new contract.

Barkley had always been a potent player, but he had been injury-prone, and he also was languishing on some poor Giants teams that gave him little, if any, support.

This season, he had the benefit of arguably the best offensive line in the NFL and took advantage by becoming the ninth player to post 2,000 rushing yards in a single season.

He mustered 57 rushing yards in the Super Bowl LIX victory against the Kansas City Chiefs, but his presence alone opened things up for the passing game and allowed quarterback Jalen Hurts to put forth a very efficient MVP performance.

Philadelphia sports fans are historically very hard to please, but when one of their teams plays very well and wins it all, they shower that team with lots of love and praise.
