Buffalo Rumblings
Most Rumblers have a one-track mind when it comes to football: All Bills, all the time. So understandably you may be a bit preoccupied with the Buffalo Bills winning their first road game in 33 years, and their first playoff win over the Jacksonville Jaguars to boot. Buffalo’s moving on, but we don’t know yet who they’ll play.
This afternoon’s game won’t have any bearing (yet) on who the Bills play next, but it’s a good matchup for your Sunday afternoon. The San Francisco 49ers are on the east coast to take on the Philadelphia Eagles. No one wants to see the Eagles fly again after just winning the Super Bowl last season. Right? Well, maybe those irascible Eagles fans do, but I digress.
The Niners have been a great story this season, with a narrative Bills Mafia should embrace: One of resiliency in the face of massive amounts of injury. They’re also really good, and can score with the best of ‘em. As for Philly, well they’re who everyone thought they were, and if they’re smart they’ll try to bring back the 2024 vintage to running back Saquon Barkley’s game.
But, you don’t want the Eagles to win. Remember that whole situation with Darius Slay? Well, he’s still technically a Bill. But you’d never know that to be true:
