The Philadelphia Eagles have wasted no time making additions to their squad following their playoff exit.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the reigning Super Bowl champions, as of Sunday, are adding Carson Steele on a futures deal.

The Eagles were near unstoppable on offense last season, but were mostly clueless with a new offensive coordinator in 2025. They were hardly able to string two good halves of football together on that side of the ball and were extracted from the postseason at the soonest opportunity.

It appears they’re now keen on revamping.

This isn’t to say that they will bring in players who will necessarily start, yet they are looking to add depth. The Eagles are expected to be one of the busier teams in the offseason, with A.J. Brown thought to be a trade piece.

As such, Steele, a former star in college and a player who showed immense promise in KC, is set to join them.

“Former Chiefs RB Carson Steele is signing a futures deal with the Eagles, per his agent Randy M. Fisher,” Pelissero reported on Tuesday.

Carson Steele Was A Fan Favorite In Kansas City

Steele was a fan favorite while with the Chiefs. He went undrafted but played in all 17 games in 2024. The former Ball State and UCLA star also earned Pro Bowl alternate honors behind Baltimore’s Patrick Ricard following notable performances.

It will be interesting to see how things pan out for him in Philly, with the Eagles currently stacked at the position.

As for Brown, the wide receiver was involved in an ugly spat with head coach Nick Sirianni during Sunday’s loss to the San Francisco 49ers. He also wasn’t very good in that game and had been a distraction for the better part of the campaign.

One young Eagles fan has urged the team to trade him. The youngster has also called for OC Kevin Patullo to be replaced.
