The Philadelphia Eagles have received a wave of praise and criticism over whether they may or may not visit Donald Trump at the White House.

The U.S. Sun kicked off this entire issue by publishing an article asserting that the Eagles would not be accepting a potential White House invitation following their win in Super Bowl LIX, citing “a well-placed insider” calling it a “massive no.”

It turns out they were wrong.

It turns out that the report about the Philadelphia Eagles was initially published days before the Super Bowl was set to be played.

Adam Schefter of ESPN made it clear through his sources that the Eagles will indeed visit the White House this offseason as they look forward “to receiving its invitation.”

An Eagles source allegedly told the US Sun earlier this month that the team plans to snub an invitation to the White House.

Clay Travis, founder of the sports news site Outkick, cited a White House source on Monday that the Eagles did not reject an invite.

It’s becoming rather clear that the Eagles will be at the White House for the first time in team history.

The 2018 team rejected the offer as Trump was also in office back then.

Megyn Kelly Jumped The Gun And Blasted The Philadelphia Eagles Over Trump Decision

Megyn Kelly was one of many millions of people rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles to beat the Kansas City Chiefs during the most recent Super Bowl, but a report stating that the team would skip the traditional White House visit infuriated her.

On Sunday, Kelly reacted to a post that said the Eagles declined an invitation to the White House to meet President Trump.

“Wish I had known this before the Super Bowl. I wouldn’t have wasted my time rooting for them. Eagles fan? Your team sucks,” a fan said.

Kelly responded, “SAME. GO F YOURSELVES EAGLES.”

The SiriusXM host of “The Megyn Kelly Show” said she backed the team because her husband “is a fan,” which was why she “got onboard.”

“But F this BS,” Kelly added.

Kelly has not responded to the news that the invite never went out and that the team said they would visit Trump.
