Philadelphia Eagles ‘Frustrated’ With Jalen Hurts

For a team coming off a Super Bowl win, the Philadelphia Eagles have dealt with a lot of in-season drama. Much of it has played out in the public eye, thanks to A.J. Brown taking to social media or even Twitch to pull back the curtains.

But you don’t have to live on the internet to know about the Eagles’ offensive struggles, which aren’t limited to just Brown. Saquon Barkley, for example, is averaging just 3.9 yards per carry after being at 5.8 YPC in 2024.

First-year offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo has also drawn criticism at various points of the season. Yet, Jalen Hurts is the starting quarterback, and Philadelphia’s passing attack hasn’t been good enough either. While the Eagles are winning, Hurts has five games with fewer than 200 passing yards this season.

Yet, according to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, multiple Eagles players have been “frustrated” with Hurts this season.

While the on-field results haven’t always been pretty, the Eagles are still winning a lot of games. Still, if/when they do come up short at a critical juncture, questions about whether Philadelphia is winning because of Hurts or in spite of their QB will return. At that point, the Eagles may have a tough decision to make regarding their franchise quarterback.
