The Eagles deny the Chiefs a three-peat.
The 2024 NFL season came to an end on Sunday as the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX. The final margin was an 18 point blowout, but even that probably underscores Philadelphia’s dominance. With the victory, the Eagles win their second Super Bowl in franchise history. It also prevents the Chiefs from becoming the first team to ever win three consecutive Super Bowls and the third team from winning three consecutive NFL Championships.
Former Jets Mekhi Becton, Braden Mann, and Bryce Huff get Super Bowl rings (although Huff was an inactive for the Super Bowl).
With that, we can officially turn the page from the 2024 NFL season. The Jets’ season ended long ago, but the symbolism is still nice for Jets fans. This was a painfully disappointing season.
We can now turn our attention to the future as a new era begins. Hopefully Aaron Glenn and Darren Mougey can lead this team to glory in the near future.
