Pro Football Focus analyst Mason Cameron has released another set of positional rankings across the NFL ahead of the 2025 regular season. This time, his list of Top 32 Centers included New Orleans Saints lineman Erik McCoy slotted at No. 4.

4. Erik McCoy, New Orleans Saints

An early-season groin injury that required surgery restricted McCoy’s ability to see the field much in 2024, but what we did see of him proved his career trajectory is still aimed upward. Although he logged just 293 snaps, McCoy was on his way to a career year, with his 94.4 PFF overall grade leading the position and his 0.24 PFF WAR ranking fifth among centers, even despite his significant missed time.

McCoy is coming off his first Pro-Bowl nod (named to roster in replacement of Philadelphia Eagles C, Cam Jurgens) and is hoping to continue building off of his success post-surgery. Erik has been a staple of an ever-revolving Saints offensive line since being drafted in 2019 out of Texas A&M. McCoy started all 17 games for the Saints in 2023.

Certainly, Erik is a vital member of the Saints trenches group. Improved health and play along the interior of the line can greatly elevate any hope New Orleans has of competing for a division title and playoff spot this season.
