PFF disrespects Steelers in new top 101 player ranking

The Pittsburgh Steelers are no strangers to being underestimated or underappreciated —especially by Pro Football Focus.

The industry leader in football analytics, based in Cincinnati, Ohio, has often given the Steel City the short end of the stick when it comes to their ‘fair’ and ‘equal’ grading system. However, their latest ranking of the top 101 players based on 2024 performance has truly taken the cake.

Out of 101 players, Pro Football Focus deemed that only Alex Highsmith, Cameron Heyward, and T.J. Watt were worthy of being ranked.

For reference, the Atlanta Falcons—who may have shown flashes of greatness but ultimately underperformed with an 8-9 record this season—had four players selected.

Three selections may be acceptable for most NFL teams, but for the Pittsburgh Steelers, who had obvious snubs like SS DeShon Elliott, LB Elandon Roberts, and rookie C Zach Frazier, the frustration is understandable.

Hopefully, the Pittsburgh Steelers can tune out the noise and use Pro Football Focus’ disrespect as fuel for the 2025 season.
