We continue our ‘85 at 40 series, discussing the 1985 Chicago Bears on the 40th anniversary of their championship season.
Our latest episode is out, and legendary NFL Writer, Peter King, joins to share his memories of that iconic team. Peter’s first season at New York’s Newsday was when he covered the New York Giants (and the rest of the NFL). He witnessed the Bears’ 21-0 victory over the New York Giants in the NFL’s Divisional Playoff Round.
We discussed plenty of topics with Peter, including the greatness of that defense compared to other great defenses throughout the history of the league, the dominance of the defense in the playoffs, Walter Payton, Jim McMahon, Richard Dent, the Hall of Fame cases of Jay Hilgenberg and Wilber Marshall, and plenty more!
