The New England Patriots travel to Western New York to face the division-rival Buffalo Bills in Week 5 on “Sunday Night Football.”

The Bills’ offense ranks second in the NFL in scoring (33.3 points per game), but their defense is middle of the pack at 17th (22.5 points allowed per game).

Buffalo is hoping that seventh-year defensive tackle Ed Oliver can return to action vs. the Patriots, as the 27-year-old has missed the last three games due to an ankle injury.

Oliver returned to practice on Wednesday as a limited participant and cleared up a bizarre rumor regarding his injury.

Syracuse.com Bills beat reporter Matt Parrino reported that when news came out on the 2019 first-round pick’s injury, “some internet rumors suggested that one of his horses was involved.”

“I got stepped on in practice. That’s what happened,” Oliver said, per Parrino. “I heard I fell off a horse or a horse hurt me. But I can promise you somebody stepped on me at practice.”

Wednesday was the Houston product’s first practice since having his foot stepped on in practice on Sept. 10, three days after Oliver helped Buffalo defeat the Baltimore Ravens 41-40 in Week 1.

Oliver, who, according to Parrino’s report is still considered day-to-day, finished the victory vs. the Ravens with three tackles for loss, two quarterback hits, one sack and one forced fumble.
