The New England Patriots may have suffered some high-profile injuries recently, but they managed to stay the course so far. As a result, they are entering their Week 13 Monday night matchup with the New York Giants not just as the owners of a nine-game win streak but also as big favorites.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Patriots are seen as a touchdown favorite over the visiting Giants and therefore projected to enter their bye week on a high note.
Looking at their 10-2 record relative to the Giants’ 2-10, the Patriots being listed as 7.5-point favorites comes as little surprise. However, it remains to be seen whether or not their near-slip-up against the Cincinnati Bengals last week is indicative of bigger issues — particularly with the entire left side of the offensive line now out with injury as well.
New York, meanwhile, will be getting starting quarterback Jaxson Dart back from his recent stint in concussion protocol. Needless to say, despite the lopsided projection, this game might end up closer than the oddsmakers believe. Just ask Patriots fans what they think.
Kickoff between the Patriots and Giants at Gillette Stadium is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET on Monday, Dec. 1.
