Welcome to the 2025 NFL regular season! Last week was still part of the preseason, right? At least, that is how it felt watching the Miami Dolphins, who seemed to barely be going through the motions as the Indianapolis Colts handed them a 33-8 loss. That was ugly. There was no silver lining to that performance. Miami was beaten, then kicked when they were down, and they just curled up and took it.
Does this team have any fight in it? They will have to show they do as they enter Week 2 with the first of three AFC East games in a row. Today’s contest pits the Miami Dolphins against the New England Patriots, a team on the rise according to preseason analysts. The Patriots also lost in Week 1, dropping their opener to the Las Vegas Raiders 20-13. Both teams will be looking to prove they are a better team than their Week 1 performances suggested – especially Miami and whatever that was they put on film against the Colts.
