Pats Pulpit
The New England Patriots are entering Week 15 in a comfortable position in the AFC East. Not only will they secure the division crown with a win, they also have already beaten the Buffalo Bills earlier this season to get a decisive edge over their rivals.
And yet, they are listed as underdogs heading into this week’s showdown with the Bills. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Bills are 1.5-point favorites coming into Foxborough.
The Patriots being listed as underdogs entering Week 15 is a bit surprising giving both teams’ seasons so far and New England riding a 10-game win streak. The likely explanation for it is the Bills’ own success recently, including a come-from-behind win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
That victory was Buffalo’s second straight after a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 13. The nature of those victories apparently are enough for sportbooks to give the Bills the projected edce this week — and Mike Vrabel sone bulletin board material he is certain to use to help rally the troops.
Kickoff between the Patriots and Bills at Gillette Stadium is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, Dec. 14.
