When the New England Patriots visit the Saints on Sunday, they’ll look different from how they have at any point in their franchise history.

On Wednesday, the Patriots revealed a new white-on-white uniform scheme that they’ll debut in their Week 6 game in New Orleans. The white pants are the most notable addition, as they’ve never been paired with the modern white uniform, which became one of New England’s primary uniform tops in 2020.

Excluding throwback-themed games, in which the Patriots pair white pants with the red “Pat Patriot” uniform, New England hasn’t used white pants since it did so for a color-rush game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2017.

Whether this is a sign of things to come remains to be seen. However, the reaction to the white-on-white uniforms was overwhelmingly positive on social media, so perhaps the Patriots will listen to their fans.

Reminder: In Week 11, the Patriots will debut their NFL “Rivalries” uniform — dubbed the “Nor’easter” uniform — when they host the New York Jets.
