New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson drew unorthodox recognition for his Week 11 outburst.

Henderson followed a thunderous Week 10 by registering 93 scrimmage yards and three touchdowns in a 27-14 win over the New York Jets. The rookie running back earned a fun shoutout on Wednesday.

Nickeledon named Henderson its Week 11 “NVP.” It’s not a Lombardi Trophy, but it’s something.

Henderson began his NFL career in a mitigated role before a Rhamondre Stevenson injury created an opening. The second-round pick went nine games without a touchdown before finding the end zone five times in the last two contests.

The former Ohio State star broke off 55- and 69-yard touchdowns at Tampa Bay before delivering an encore on “Thursday Night Football.” Henderson took shorter trips to the pylon by scoring inside the 10 three times.

Henderson joined Rob Gronkowski as the second Patriots rookie to score three touchdowns in a single game. He’s delivered a spark that fans and fantasy football investors spent weeks hoping to see, but Henderson’s spotlight could dim this weekend.

Stevenson returned to practice on Wednesday and is aiming to play in Week 12 after missing three games with a toe injury. One would think he’d return to a lesser role after watching Henderson tally 330 yards in his absence, but that’s not a given.

NBC Sports Boston’s Phil Perry wrote that Stevenson could reclaim a featured workload or even backfield split with Henderson. That will make it tougher for the neophyte to land any more accolades over New England’s final six games.
