The New England Patriots received a mixed bag of injury updates on Monday.
The bad news is that wideout Kendrick Bourne and cornerbacks Christian Gonzalez and Carlton Davis III all were expected to miss the first practice of the week. On the other hand, center Garrett Bradbury returned to the field after recently suffering an ankle injury.
“Starting center Garrett Bradbury (ankle) is returning to practice today,” ESPN’s Mike Reiss posted on Bluesky.
The Patriots signed Bradbury to a two-year, $9.5 million contract in March after the North Carolina St. product spent the first six seasons of his career with the Minnesota Vikings.
Bradbury was the 18th overall pick during the 2019 NFL Draft and started all 88 games he played in with the Vikings, plus four playoff contests.
The 30-year-old played a career-high 17 games and 1,117 offensive snaps last season while recording just four penalties (three false starts and one offensive holding).
