New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs isn’t the only member of his family facing a health concern entering Week 7 of the NFL season.
“Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer said Trevon Diggs had an accident at his home last night. He has a concussion. He won’t play Sunday,” Jon Machota of The Athletic posted on X.
Dallas Cowboys star cornerback Trevon Diggs is the younger brother of the Patriots pass-catcher.
The elder Diggs sibling is questionable for New England’s Week 7 matchup vs. the Tennessee Titans due to a chest injury.
The Cowboys’ defensive standout hasn’t missed a game this season after being limited to 11 contests during the 2024 campaign.
Dallas head coach Brian Schottenheimer didn’t know the details of the defensive back’s home incident, but Diggs was checked out by the team doctors on Friday, according to a report by ESPN’s Todd Archer.
“This is the NFL and if you’re unsure what’s going to happen just wait because something is going to happen,” Schottenheimer said, per Archer’s report. “And you deal with it, and you don’t lose sleep over it. The biggest thing is just the concern for Trevon that he’s OK. But seems like he is.”
The younger Diggs brother earned Pro Bowl nods in 2021 and 2022 before suffering a season-ending torn ACL between Weeks 2 and 3 of the 2023 campaign.
He’s posted 18 tackles in six contests during the 2025 season.
