New England Patriots star receiver Stefon Diggs is excited to return to Buffalo to play the Bills on Sunday Night Football in Week 5.

Diggs played for the Bills from 2020 until 2023 and this offseason signed a three-year, $63.5 million deal with the Patriots after one season with the Houston Texans.

As Diggs will play his former team, he praised Bills Mafia, calling them the best fans in the NFL.

“It’s going to be a crazy atmosphere,” Diggs said, via ESPN. “Obviously, I spent a lot of years there. They have one of the best fan bases in the game, if not the best fan base. So, shout out to them. In the division, they say it’s one game, but it damn near counts as two. I’m excited for the challenge.”

It is a surprising compliment from Diggs after Buffalo traded him. Following the trade, he claimed the Bills did not want to move him, but he felt like it was time to move on.

However, he spent just one season with the Texans before returning to the AFC East to play for the Patriots.

With New England, Diggs says he is ready to do whatever the team needs for the offense to succeed.

“Whatever they give you, take it, handle it with grace, and continue to push teammates,” Diggs said. “I’m here I am at this point [in my career]. I’m here for whatever they need. I’ve been doing this for a long time, I’m a veteran, I’m healthy. Shout out to God. I’m not going to bite off more than I can chew, or I’m not going to ask [for] anything. I’m just going to handle what’s in front of me.”

Through four games, Diggs has 19 receptions for 213 yards, but hasn’t recorded a touchdown.
